  ThinkTel's CLEC network infrastructure delivers service to over 1000 Canadian centres. Our network utilizes TDM transport in all centres and delivers SIP over a combination of both private IP networks and the public Internet.

Our strategy is to make the most use of existing network facilities. As such we are privately cross-connected to most major Canadian IP network providers and any properly designed IP network configuration is supported, as are multiple VPN connections, or direct colocation of your equipment at our data centre.

Metaswitch core switching technology


ThinkTel utilizes Metaswitch VP3510 softswitches providing a 1:1 ratio of digital signal processors to PSTN call paths. This means that we can deliver 100% of our network capacity using any one of the available compression codecs that we support. Our Metaswitches also supports geographical diversity at the media gateway layer and at the signalling layer to ensure network resiliency and survivability.
